Basics of Pistol Shooting

Students taking this course will receive the a Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate.

Course Description:

​

The Basics of Pistol Shooting course is intended for all individuals regardless of your previous shooting experience. The course is led by a NRA certified instructor and includes a hands-on practical portion.

​

The Hands-on Portion will consist of practicing proper pistol handling, loading and unloading a pistol magazine, as well as shooting a minimum of 25 rounds of ammunition.

​

**There are NO prerequisites to this training.   **

 

RATES: $150 per person

Initial Deposit: $50 (Non-refundable deposit to hold class enrollment)

DURATION: 6 -hours

LEVEL: Beginner to Intermediate

 

Attention: This is a non-licensing training course.

The Basics of Pistol Shooting course includes the following objectives:

  • Gun safety rules

  • Proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols

  • Ammunition knowledge and selection

  • Pistol selection and storage

  • Shooting fundamentals

  • Pistol inspection and maintenance

  • Marksmanship fundamentals 

  • Shooting range safety

  • Live Fire Qualification

 

Prior firearms experience is not required to attend this training class.
